PLIDA Beginner Italian Class A1.1 (In-Person)

In this introductory course, students will learn fundamental phonetic, grammatical, and lexical structures through conversations and simple dialogues. This course teaches students to greet formally and informally, introduce themselves, share and request contact information, discuss their age and feelings, and communicate in a classroom setting. They will learn to start conversations, introduce others, apologize, thank people, make reservations, order food, and ask for the bill. Additionally, students will discuss hobbies, likes and dislikes, express agreement and disagreement, count to 100, and ask and answer questions about the time.

with Eleonora Marasca
This conversation course is designed for beginner students who want to enhance both their fluency and the quality of their spoken Italian. Students must have completed PLIDA Beginner A1.1 or have informally acquired a similar level of proficiency. The course can be taken independently or alongside PLIDA Beginner A1.2 and A1.3 to further expand vocabulary and communication skills. Throughout the course, learners will practice common expressions and build confidence in daily conversations while exploring Italian culture.
