PLIDA Intermediate Italian Class B2.1 (In-Person)

with Maria Conte

$350

This upper-intermediate course marks the beginning of B2-level language proficiency and is designed for students who have completed Italian B1.3 or possess an equivalent level. While deepening students’ linguistic competence, the course further develops reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills through engagement with rich cultural content, fostering a more nuanced understanding of key aspects of contemporary Italy.

Students will learn to narrate events, recall school memories, and describe people and places from their educational background. They will practice expressing opinions, emotions, and reacting critically in conversations. The course includes discussing food preferences, describing dishes, and explaining basic cooking procedures. Students will also report information, interpret statistics, and place events in historical context. Finally, they will strengthen their ability to talk about their profession, make formal requests, and exchange work-related advice.
