PLIDA Elementary Italian Class A2.3 (Online)

The PLIDA A2.3 course is the final step in the A2 level and is designed for students who have completed A2.2 or its equivalent. This course prepares learners to confidently use Italian in a variety of everyday situations, such as making arrangements, discussing daily activities, giving basic opinions, and handling common social interactions. Emphasis is placed on refining grammar, expanding vocabulary, and improving conversational fluency. By the end of A2.3, students will be ready to transition smoothly to the B1 level.

PLIDA Beginner Italian Class A1.3 (In-Person)

This course completes level A1 of language proficiency and continues to emphasize the improvement of oral comprehension, writing, reading and oral communication. The course covers various aspects of communication and interaction in Italian, such as going shopping, buying groceries, and asking politely for what they need, describing stores, talking about their work, a typical workday, and their daily routine, describing and talking about their family. In addition to language skills, the course also focuses on Italian culture.

PLIDA Elementary Italian Class A2.1 (In-Person)

With this course, students begin level A2 of language proficiency. They refine their use of verb tenses, enrich their vocabulary, and learn how to communicate with greater precision and confidence. The course covers various aspects of communication and interaction in Italian, such as describing and purchasing clothes, expressing opinions, giving advice, and making proposals, and booking appointments or tickets. In addition to language skills, the course also focuses on Italian culture.

This course is designed for students who have completed the A1 level and want to continue building their Italian language skills. Following the PLIDA (Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri) certification guidelines, the A2.1 level focuses on expanding vocabulary, improving sentence structure, and increasing confidence in everyday communication. Topics include describing past experiences, expressing preferences, making simple plans, and interacting in social or travel situations. Students will strengthen their listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities while gaining a deeper understanding of Italian grammar and cultural context.

At this stage, learners will deepen their ability to communicate in everyday situations, such as making suggestions, giving opinions, handling basic transactions, and discussing familiar topics. The course emphasizes more accurate use of grammar, richer vocabulary, and improved fluency in speaking and writing.

This course marks the beginning of the B1 (intermediate) level and is intended for students who have a solid foundation in elementary Italian. Students will review and strengthen their language skills, expand their vocabulary, and improve their comprehension of written and spoken Italian. They will also deepen their understanding of Italian culture and perspectives. The course focuses on exchanging information accurately and confidently about events, dreams, and hopes, and explaining opinions and plans. Additionally, students will learn to handle various situations while traveling in Italy.

In this introductory course, students will learn fundamental phonetic, grammatical, and lexical structures through conversations and simple dialogues. This course teaches students to greet formally and informally, introduce themselves, share and request contact information, discuss their age and feelings, and communicate in a classroom setting. They will learn to start conversations, introduce others, apologize, thank people, make reservations, order food, and ask for the bill. Additionally, students will discuss hobbies, likes and dislikes, express agreement and disagreement, count to 100, and ask and answer questions about the time.
