PLIDA Beginner Italian Class A1.1 (Online)

n this introductory course, students will learn fundamental phonetic, grammatical, and lexical structures through conversations and simple dialogues. This course teaches students to greet formally and informally, introduce themselves, share and request contact information, discuss their age and feelings, and communicate in a classroom setting. They will learn to start conversations, introduce others, apologize, thank people, make reservations, order food, and ask for the bill. Additionally, students will discuss hobbies, likes and dislikes, express agreement and disagreement, count to 100, and ask and answer questions about the time.

The course covers various aspects of communication and interaction in Italian, such as going shopping, buying groceries, and asking politely for what they need, describing stores, talking about their work, a typical workday, and their daily routine, describing and talking about their family. In addition to language skills, the course also focuses on Italian culture.
